Sheds!

posted Apr 04, 2012 14:21:59 by scottygvsu
New guy here. This is the first year in recent memory I haven't been able to find a single shed. Any of you guys have any luck? I think the lack of snow let the deer spread out more late december which means the sheds could be anywhere. Also makes it easier for squirells and porkies to find 'em and nibble them up.

I haven't found any this year either. But I did read that the mild winter could have caused them to shed earlier than usual.

My brother lives downstate and has seen a buck with its antlers still on! I told him to follow him around till they fall off! They have to eventually.

Still? That's crazy. I probably would follow it around. What a strange year we've had. Did you get your buck this year?

Yes. Killed the 8 that is my avatar with a bow, killed a one antlered 4pt. The other side wasn't broken, just never grew. Wasn't upset that I missed out on a pair of 8's. Just glad to have the one horn buck gone.
